What is Zapier?

Zapier allows you to connect your favourite applications together, without writing a single line of code, allowing you to be more productive by automating everyday tasks.

Use cases

PhantomBuster’s Zaps allow you to trigger actions in any of the 2000+ apps on Zapier after a Phantom launch, or trigger a Phantom launch following an action in one of the apps.

Triggers:

• Extract every profile from the results of a LinkedIn search and automatically create a contact in HubSpot for each one.
• Extract the people who visit your Sales Navigator profile and have your Sales team be notified on given a Slack channel.
• Extract your competitors’ media with Twitter Media Extractor and Instagram Post Scraper and automatically save the data to your Google Drive.
• Scan Craigslist ads every day and auto email the ad posters using Gmail.

Actions:

• Each time a new respondent completes a Typeform survey, look for their LinkedIn profile by launching LinkedIn Profile URL Finder.
• Each time you add someone to your Pipedrive CRM, find and scrape their LinkedIn profile with LinkedIn Profile Scraper.
• Each time you add an Instagram profile into your Airtable database, like that person’s 3 latest posts with Instagram Auto Liker.
• Each time Twitter’s Zap detects a mention of your brand, automatically follow this person’s account with Twitter Auto Follow.

Setting up PhantomBuster as a trigger

Head to your Zapier account, create a new Zap, and pick "New Output in PhantomBuster" as a trigger.

Once you’re there, you’ll be asked for your PhantomBuster API key. This is available on the right-hand side of your "Workspace settings" as shown below:

Now that your PhantomBuster account is connected to Zapier, simply pick the Phantom whose output you want to use within Zapier. All the data from each line of the output will be available to you in the next step.

Setting up PhantomBuster as an action

Trigger an action in PhantomBuster based on an event occurrence in another app by connecting your PhantomBuster account. Again, you'll have to specify your API key, which can be found in the “Workspace settings” of your account. 

Then pick your Phantom. It has to already be present on your PhantomBuster dashboard to be able to be used, but you’ll be able to set it up directly from within Zapier. Your session cookie data will be available via our extension, just like on PhantomBuster. Use the data obtained by your favorite app, and transfer it to your Phantom.

Set the Zap up and you’re good to go!

Troubleshooting

Sometimes when setting up your Phantom with Zapier, example data does not get fetched. Make sure you have launched the Phantom at least once in the last hour.
